IVA DAWN

February came to an amazing end when IVA DAWN arrived at Gatos Trail with her band to track her second record. For the first time at Gatos we, with the help of producer Tom Biller, recorded basics and vocals with the band completely live in one room without any separation or headphones and the results were astonishing!!! With only minimal guitar and percussion overdubs the record seemed to come together quickly and flawlessly. Just like the sound of Iva Dawn's songs the process brought back a vibe of era's gone by. Falling somewhere between Ennio Morricone and Julee Cruise, Iva Dawn's music was the perfect soundtrack for the Desert environment in which it was recorded. Perfectly moody and perfectly executed, we are very proud to have been a part of this record and will be waiting impatiently for the finished product!!
